A rustic log barn has been converted into an attached dual occupancy, allowing for multi-generational living on acreage in Sydney’s north west. Retaining the pole-frame construction’s character was not only practical, but ensured that the aesthetic of the new residence would carry on the traditional craft of the original structure.

Clad with rustic hardwood log faces and galvanised steel, the design blends naturally into its country context while providing the high insulation and fire protection necessary when living in a bushland setting.

We assisted the owner not only with the design, documentation, and approval processes, but also have project managed the construction with the owner builder, providing expertise along the journey.
